Zipped welt pocket
We make markings for the pocket (buy a chalk wheel in the Burda store), prepare a whole-cut burlap, along the length it should fall into the stitching of either the belt or the yoke. And we decorate the lightning.
We put the detail of the burlap pocket front side on the front side of the main part. The top cut of the burlap must match the cut to which it will be stitched. in my case, the upper section of the skirt. We make markings along the length and width, we build the frame. I make a stitch with a small stitch.
We bend the burlap to the front side, fold it in half and adjust the strip from the main fabric to the second half of the whole-cut burlap (without grabbing the one where the frame is), at the level where the zipper will open.
We cut along the line of the middle of the frame (buy scissors in the Burda store), to the corners very carefully until the very line.
We turn the pocket on the wrong side of the part and iron out the allowances.
Wash burlap with edging and carefully iron.
We take lightning under the cut.
Cut the zipper on the inside, remove the extra cloves and tighten the braid with thread near the last.
On the front side, we lay the finishing line on the bottom side of the frame exactly from edge to edge of the cut.
We turn out the burlap on the front side of the skirt, fold it in half. Wrong side of burlap inside.
Grind the sides of the burlap 0.5 cm from the edge. Ironing allowances. We twist the pocket on the wrong side of the skirt, iron it.
We lay the finishing line along the two short and upper sides of the pocket frame, capturing the burlap on the inside. along the short edges we make a stitch or a line with a small zigzag.
Lay a line along the sides of the pocket 0.7 cm from the edge.
The pocket is ready.
