Patchwork. "Butterfly"

Patchwork products are very popular today. The design and manufacture of such products is both a useful and enjoyable activity. There are traditional patchwork patterns that are hundreds of years old.

One of such patterns is called "Butterfly", in my opinion, it is very easy to sew, but very original, because from simple blank blocks, you can add different patterns. You can apply this pattern to any home decoration. I sewed a set of covers for sofa cushions my time, unfortunately, I can show only one, the rest have not survived. For one block of "butterfly" breaks out:
1.2 squares (6.5x6.5cm) of fabric for the background,
2.2 squares (6.5x6.5cm) of fabric for the butterfly,
3. 2 squares (3.8x3.8 cm) made of fabric for butterfly. For ease of cutting, you need to make patterns of cardboard - two strips of width 6.5 and 3.8 cm respectively (see photo No. 1)

Any length. According to the patterns, first draw horizontal lines on the fabric, then expand the pattern 90 degrees and draw vertical lines on the fabric.
Cut out the required number of blanks. Fold the square (3.8x3.8 cm) square from the fabric for the butterfly and the square from the background fabric. Combine angle and slices (see photo No. 2).

Start diagonally (see photo No. 3).

Iron the seam allowances towards the cut.Repeat for the second square. Trim the fabric in the corner, leaving 6 mm for the seam allowance. (see photo # 4)

Connect a two-color square with a square made of butterfly fabric (see photo No. 5, 6).

Connect the two halves of the block (see photo No. 7).

Make the required number of blocks and arrange them in the form of an ornament (see photo No. 8, No. 9, No. 10).

Stitch blocks in rows, and then in a single canvas.
Inside each "butterfly" along the perimeter, lay a line (to the width of the foot) (see photo No. 11, No. 12, No. 13)
