How to sew a headband

A stylish headband is an elegant accessory and a great addition to a fashionable wardrobe.

You will need:
Printed fabric 55 x 60 cm (we used the old blouse); elastic tape 0.60 m wide 2 cm; non-woven G 785; threads for sewing.

Cutting:
Measure your head circumference (buy a centimeter tape at the Burda store).
- a bandage 32 cm wide and a length equal to the circumference of the head plus 3 cm;
- belt loader 11 cm long and 9 cm wide;
- 2 strips for bows 16 cm wide and 24 cm and 28 cm long.
Stripes for bow and loops duplicate gasket.
Description of work:
To sew the bandage - see the instructions for the Indian Princess model on the next page, but do not sew up the open area in the seam. Fold the bandage so that the longitudinal seam runs along the line of the middle of the inner side of the bandage. Elastic tape with a length equal to the circumference of the head minus 1 cm, put in a bandage, sew the ends of the tape. Sew the open area of the seam. Lay the stitch in a short seam, adjusting the elastic tape. Gather a bandage along this seam. On the loops, iron the ends to a width of 1 cm on the seamy side. Fold the bow strips and the loops each along in half with the front side inwards and grind the longitudinal sections at a distance of 1 cm. Unscrew. Iron. Wrap the loops around the headband over the assembled seam, sew the ends of the loops from the inside of the bandage.Fold each bow band across in half, lay the ends with folds and grind. Lay the ends of the bow strips diagonally on top of each other and sew the bandage over the belt loop manually to the inside.

You will need:
Printed silk fabric 15 x 80 cm (or an old scarf); silver wire 75 cm thick 1 mm; nippers; round pliers; threads for sewing.

Description of work:
Fold the strip along in half with the front side inward and mow the ends. Stitch the slices at a distance of 1.5 cm, leaving a section of approx. 5 cm for eversion. Unscrew the bandage. Make round-nose pliers at the ends of the wire along a small loop. Put the wire in the bandage, put the ends of the wire into the sharp corners of the bandage and sew with several hand stitches. Sew the open area of the seam. Put a bandage on the head, twist the ends together.

Indian princess

You will need:
2 self-sewn bandeos,
centimeter tape (buy at Burda store),
sewing threads (Coats),
Swarovski thermostrases,
scissors (buy at Burda store),
tailor pins (buy at Burda store),
styrofoam mannequin.
STEP 1
Lay both bandeos flat on the table and thread the satin bandeau into the knitted.

STEP 2
Pull out the knitted bando so that both bands are joined together.

STEP 3
Put on a turban bandage on the mannequin, fix the joints of both bandos with hand stitches and iron the Swarovski thermostrases.

INSTRUCTION
You will need:
Elastic satin and knitted fabric with elastane 30 x 65 cm; sewing threads; styrofoam mannequin (or ball); rhinestones in Denim Blue (Swarovski) color: 6 rhinestones with a diameter of 5 mm, 3 rhinestones with a diameter of 10 mm and 4 rhinestones with a diameter of 12 mm.

Description of work:
Bando Fold the satin / knit fabric along in half along the front side inwards and grind sections 65 cm long at a distance of 1 cm. Iron out the seam allowances. Pull one end through the bando to the second end. Stitch the ends at a distance of 1 cm, the front side to the front side, while leaving the section of the seam open for inversion. Turn out. Sew the open area of the seam.

Assembly. See step by step instructions above. In this case, the transverse seams are at the rear, and the longitudinal seams are on the inside.
