These snowflakes are not so simple in execution in comparison with those that are cut out of paper in the traditional way. But the result is unusual!

1. Bead snowflake

You can use wooden beads or any other, the main thing is to take three different sizes and follow the pattern. The finished snowflake can be painted and / or decorated with glitter.

You will need:

- 3 types of beads of different sizes (in this case - 5 mm, 7 mm and 9 mm);

- wire, quite soft and flexible, retaining its shape, the thickness in this case is 0.5 mm;

- thin-nose pliers;

- nippers.

How to make and decorate Christmas balls with your own hands: 11 ideas with instructions

Step 1

First, make the main ring. String 12 beads with a size of 7 mm on the wire, fasten and cut the ends of the wire.

Step 2

Fix the wire (see the figure, the place of attachment is where the dot is placed) and make a ring of 3 beads 5 mm in size based on one of the beads of the previous row. Skip one bead, based on the next, make the same ring, and so on, until you close the circle. Fasten and cut the wire.

Step 3

Getting to the third ring. It will be attached to the 7 mm beads from the first row that were missing in the previous step. Collect the rings: three 5 mm balls, one 7 mm, three 5 mm, pass the wire through a large bead, as shown in the diagram, and so on, until you close the circle. Fasten and cut the wire.

You can stop at this step: it turned out beautifully! But you can go further.

Step 4

According to the scheme, we make the fourth ring. We use 5 mm beads, 5 pieces on each side of the loop, and 1 piece of 9 mm - for the top of each loop.

Step 5

The final row. We use beads of all three sizes (see diagram).

This is how the snowflake will look in the end.

How to sew a pig, a symbol of 2019: 4 workshops + patterns

Step 1

Draw the book into strips 2.5 cm wide. Cut the strips (it is best to do this with a breadboard knife on a ruler). In total, 280 strips are needed. Then divide the strips into heaps:

- 80 strips cut by 5 cm,

- 80 strips cut by 2.5 cm;

- 80 strips cut by 1.2 cm;

- Leave 40 stripes in their original size.

Step 2

For each snowflake detail we take 5 strips for a sufficient thickness. We are assembling a knot: in the middle is the longest strip folded in half, on two sides - two strips slightly shorter, behind them - two more, shorter. All layers must be glued with glue and put under something heavy so that they stick together well. You need to make 8 such nodes.

Step 3

Cut another 10 strips 2.5 cm wide. Roll them into a ring, grease the ends with glue and tie them with fishing line or thread for a while until the glue hardens. Then remove the line.

Step 4

Lubricate the bottom of each assembly with glue and stick to the round base. Glue 4 knots first by making a cross, then add four more. Between the nodes add more glue, for strength. Glue side "petals" too.

Step 5

Now you can add glitter. Done!
