Depending on the fabric and the specific model, the neckline of the dress or blouse can be processed in different ways - by means of a stitching, a slanting beka, a lining or a seam allowance.

Using the plus size blouse from Burda 2/2019 as an example, consider how to craft a cutout with an original pleat at the front.

Neck Processing Methods

Step 1

The figure shows the wrong side.

At the front, all the marking lines at the neckline cut to the front side of the cut part with large marking stitches: on the left half of the front - the line "left alignment line" and then to the corner of the neckline, on the right half - the line "crease fold", as well as the line .

In the corners of the neckline, the front allowance is notched.

Iron the allowance for the cuts of the neck of the front to the wrong side.

Step 2

Before folding along the marked lines of the folds with the wrong side inward.

Combine the fold of the fold with the alignment line, pin it (Figure 2).

Neck processing: master class

Step 3

Stitch the fold according to the marking, then sew an oblique ironed cut of the neckline of the front to sew to the edge or sew with small, hidden stitches (Figure 3).
