These little things will decorate any clothes, shoes or accessory. Unless, of course, use their brilliant properties wisely.
Originally sequins (from fr. paillette - Zolotinka, golden grit) were called flat round shiny scales with holes for sewing. Today it is - any shape and color, shiny small details of the decor, which can either be sewn or in any other way attached to clothes, shoes, accessories.
STORY
Sequins came to us from the East - in India they embroidered sarees to turn everyday attire into a solemn one. Then, in Europe, concert dresses began to be decorated in such a way, and then the brave French women ventured to sew spangles on their summer dresses and were convinced - not bad, so festive!
FASHION "CHILDREN OF FLOWERS"
In the mid-60s of the last century, hippies, focusing on the East, gave sequins a new life, turned them into an indispensable attribute of women's fashion. And after 20 years, the disco era completed the work of the “flower children” - shining tops and blouses became a hit.
GLITTER AND HOLIDAY
Today sequins are very popular and can be on almost everything - from underwear to winter clothes. They are especially appropriate for festive, New Year's dresses, dresses, blouses and tunics in oriental style, handbags and summer shoes. But most importantly - using shiny crumbs, you need to very clearly observe the measure. To shine, if this is not a theme party, only one thing has a right. For example, if a dress with sequins, then to it - only matte shoes and a bag, and jewelry - plain, preferably in pastel colors. And one more thing: the cut of a blouse (dress, top, jacket) with sequins should be as concise as possible.
On a note
Ready-made fabrics embroidered with sequins, braid with sequins and sequins separately of all kinds of colors, sizes and shapes are on sale.
